Pilates is a method of exercise developed in the 20th Century by Joseph Pilates. The Pilates Method aims to create balance in the body through low impact exercise designed to improve your core strength and flexibilty while training your body and mind.

This dynamic exercise system is a complete mind-body therapy empashising the key principles of control, centering, concentration, precision, breathing and flowing movement.

Who is PILATES for?

  • PILATES flexibility and core-conditioning techniques are for everyone who desire a firm but flexible body and for those who want to move, work and play without pain.
    • PILATES is a great fitness program for persons of all ages and fitness levels.
    • PILATES exercise is equally effective for the retired, out-of-shape executive to

    • Each client learns to work individually, applying principles of good body
      mechanics to every exercise.

At Fitness Revolution we offer Pilates matwork classes and Pilates Reformer classes.

PILATES MATWORK CLASSES

Our Pilates matwork classes provide an invigorating workout that is designed to tone, strengthen and mobilize the whole body with the use of pilates circles and resistance bands. The exercises combine concentration, control, and centering, while improving your strength and flexibility.

Pilates matwork classes are included in your gym membership. If you would like to come on a casual basis the cost is:

Standard $11.00
Concession $9.00

 

PILATES REFORMER CLASSES

Each Reformer machine has adjustable springs and pulleys to allow for progressive resistance. By incorporating your Pilates core awareness with resistance, you can tone without bulking up the muscle. This improves muscle tone, increases mobility and body awareness. Pilates reformer training truly conditions your body, helping you to find the balance you have been looking for.

Each session is by appointment only and for the duration of one hour. The sessions will comprise a maximum of 5 per class, allowing individual needs to be addressed. Using the Pilates equipment within a small class ensures personal attention and care.
